Exercise should be fun. If you don’t like working out, you won’t do it. Sure, you might exercise here and there, occaisionally managing to stay consistant for a couple of months at a time, but long-term consistancy is nearly impossible if you don’t enjoy your workouts.

How can you improve the enjoyment of your workouts? There are lots of ways, but one of my favourites is to get out of the gym and take your workout outdoors. Few people enjoy being in stuffy, sweaty gym that, with all of the complicated exercise machines, more closely resembles a torture chamber than a place that will help people improve their fitness and live a fuller life.

To increase the enjoyment you have from your workouts, get outdoors and enjoy fresh air and nature while getting in shape. You don’t need any equipment at all to have effective outdoor workouts. Simply use your own bodyweight for resistance. Bodyweight resistance training is more effective for total-body conditioning and functional fitness than any training you can possibly do with any exercice machines at any gym, anywhere.
