I get asked the same question over and over again about the Nike Boot Camp program I run in Coal Harbour. The question always goes something like this:
Are the classes really completely free? Are there any strings attached?
Yes, the classes are 100% free, with no strings attached. The Nike Runner’s Lounge in Coal Harbour is a non-profit facility and all of their programs and services are completely free to everyone that’s interested in participating.
We had a great turnout tonight at the Nike Boot Camp. Fifteen motivated men and women braved the bad weather and came down to the Coal Harbour seawall for an intense total-body circuit training workout. We finished up with an abs and core circuit that my boxing instructor would be proud of.
My June Vancouver boot camp programs started this week in Yaletown. There are still a few spots available in the 7AM classes (6AM and 6PM classes are full), so register today if you’re interested in participating in the most intense and effective boot camp in Vancouver.

The weather was pretty bad tonight, but 18 motivated men and women still came out for a challenging workout along the Coal Harbour seawall.

We had a great turnout again at our Nike Boot Camp in Coal Harbour. This was by far the most motivated group yet, and it was an absolute pleasure to coach them through tonight’s workout.

Our Vancouver boot camp continues to gain momentum. Several new faces are showing up each week, and our core group of regulars continues to grow. Tonight’s workout was extremely intense, utilizing the full spectrum of exercises from calisthenics (bodyweight exercises), to plyometrics (explosive movements), to martial arts (kicking drills), sprints, and stair climbs. Most exercises were dynamic movements involving multiple muscle groups and really challenging the core stability.
If you haven’t yet been to our Vancouver boot camp, we look forward to to seeing you at the Nike Runner’s Lounge next Tuesday at 7PM.
Tonight’s boot camp was a big success. With nearly double the turnout from last week, word is spreading quickly that our Nike Boot Camp is the best boot camp in Vancouver.
The workout tonight had a strong kickboxing theme, with stations such as focus mitt work, kicks/knees, jump rope, and boxing influenced core drills. After a short warm-up, we did 45 minutes of circuit training (2 minutes per station), and capped the workout off with some interval stair sprints. I continue to be impressed by the positive energy everyone brings to the class each week. It’s a pleasure to coach such a motivated group of people.
The response to the kickboxing drills tonight was overwhelmingly positive, and there have been a number of requests to have Mode Athletics run a weekly kickboxing class at the Nike Lounge. So that’s something that we’re going to look at more closely for May.
The Nike Boot Camp runs every Tuesday at 7PM, and is open to everyone who’s interested in participating. This challenging group fitness class is the perfect addition to any workout routine, and is sure to motivate you to your next level of fitness.
