The answer is yes, absolutely. I am trying to get back into a routine of regularly filming and posting new videos to <a title="Mode Athletics on YouTube" href="http://youtube.com/modeathletics">my YouTube channel</a>, and when I do get back into that routine, workouts using RBT Resistance Bands will be one of the main focusses of my new YouTube videos.</p>
<p>Also, in addition to filming workout videos with RBT bands, I&#8217;m also working on a new website about <a title="Rush Boot Camp" href="http://rushbootcamp.com/">boot camp workouts</a>, and that website will feature a series of ebooks geared towards continuous loop band training with RBT Resistance Bands.</p>
<p>So if you have continuous loop resistance bands (or are planning on picking up a set) and are interested in seeing new workout videos and ebooks from me about continuous loop band training, you won&#8217;t have to wait very long. I expect to launch my <a title="Rush Boot Camp" href="http://rushbootcamp.com/">Rush Boot Camp</a> website and new ebooks in the next week or so, and new YouTube videos on my Mode and Rush YouTube channels should start showing up before the end of the month.</p>

I don&#8217;t have a lot of money to afford a gym membership but I really need to lose weight. I feel like your videos are my next step in doing this. However I don&#8217;t want to be all muscular, I just want to lose the extra fat and tone all my muscles. Do you have any videos that are aimed at the female viewer? Thank you.</p></blockquote>
<p>That is a very, very, very common question that I get asked all of the time. A couple of months ago I wrote about <a title="Men's Workouts vs. Women's Workouts" href="http://modeathletics.com/blog/mens-workouts-vs-womens-workouts/">men&#8217;s workouts vs. women&#8217;s workouts</a>, and in particular how men and women don&#8217;t need to exercise differently, and how the best fat-burning workout routines are the same for both men and women.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s the response that I sent to the person who asked me about this today via YouTube.</p>
<blockquote><p>Hi there, thanks for your positive feedback about my videos. My YouTube videos are geared towards both men and women who want to burn fat and get in shape by exercising at home with minimal equipment. It&#8217;s a myth that women should exercise differently than men. Here&#8217;s an example of a fat-burning workout that I filmed that&#8217;s great for both men and women:</p>

<p>Note that since you didn&#8217;t mention what, if any, exercise equipment you have at home, I specifically choose to send you workouts that do not require any equipment at all. If you have <a title="RBT Resistance Bands" href="http://rbtresistancebands.com">resistance bands</a> and/or a <a title="Human Trainer" href="http://htstraps.com/">suspension gym</a> ($50 to $100 for either), I have lots of exercise videos on my YouTube channel that use those pieces of equipment.</p>

<p>Interestingly, the longest and most detailed free fitness advice that I give to people who contact me online is to people who message me via YouTube. It&#8217;s strange, but I actually provide more helpful and comprehensive answers via YouTube personal messaging than I do via email. Emailing me for free fitness advice is hit or miss, but if you contact me through YouTube, you&#8217;ll get a very detailed and well thought-out response.</p>

<blockquote><p>Are there any adjustments I should make with the resistance band workouts as a woman?</p></blockquote>
<p>I answered that person&#8217;s question directly via YouTube, but I also figured I&#8217;d share the answer here for anyone else who&#8217;s been wondering the same thing.</p>
<blockquote><p>The only reason you may need to make an adjustment to any of my workout videos is if you have some kind of injury or other limitation that would prevent you from doing some of the exercises in my videos. If you&#8217;re healthy and not suffering from any injuries, and you can perform the exercises in my videos without any problems, then you wouldn&#8217;t need to make any modifications at all.</p>
<p>My workouts are equally effective for men and women. Contrary to what many women believe, women do not need to workout differently from men. The most effective way to burn fat and improve your fitness is the same for men and women (i.e. the best way is high-intensity exercise based around compound resistance training exercises performed in interval and circuit formats).</p></blockquote>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Last night&#8217;s UFC Primetime episode showed Georges St-Pierre doing gymnastics training to prepare for his April 30th fight against Jake Shields. I wasn&#8217;t aware that GSP did gymnastics training, so I was surprised and excited to see my favourite professional athlete training on the rings and parallettes.</p>
<p>I couldn&#8217;t find any clips from last night&#8217;s UFC Primetime episode, but I found two clips on <a title="GSP on YouTube" href="http://youtube.com/officialGSP">GSP&#8217;s YouTube channel</a> showing Georges training muscle-ups on the rings, and l-sits on the parallettes.</p>

I sent my answer to him directly, but I also figured I&#8217;d share it here in case anyone else is looking for the same info.</p>

<p>Pushups are a great muscle building chest exercise that you can do without any equipment, and an even better exercise to build up a big chest is dips. Normally you would need a dipping station to do dips, but there are lots of ways you can improvise a dip station at home. For example you can use two sturdy chairs (i.e. put your hands on the tops of the backs of the chairs), or a corner where two railings meet, as demonstrated at 1:26 of <a title="24 Hour Ghetto Workout" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDCxH88-9X8">this video</a>.</p>
<p>For building big biceps, you need a chin-up bar. There&#8217;s no way to effectively exercise your biceps muscles without using equipment. If you don&#8217;t have a chin-up bar, you should go find a park with monkey bars and do your chin-ups there.</p>
<p>One other thing to keep in mind is that nutrition is extremely important towards building muscle. Nutrition is every bit as important as exercise. You must eat enough calories (potentially very difficult if you have a very fast metabolism like most 14 year old guys do), and those calories must be quality calories with a good amount of protein.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re interested in building muscle, you should follow <a title="Jason Ferruggia" href="http://jasonferruggia.com/">Jason Ferruggia</a>. He&#8217;s the authority on muscle building and the main guy I follow for the best muscle building info.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I receive a lot of questions via <a title="Mode Athletics on YouTube" href="http://youtube.com/modeathletics">my YouTube channel</a>, and about 99% of the questions are identical. These questions come to me in the form of personal messages on YouTube, and the message begins with the person providing me with very specific info about themselves, such as gender, age, height, weight, measurements, etc. Then the person tells me various details about how they want/need to lose <em>x</em> amount of fat. Finally the person asks me quite frankly, &#8220;how can I lose the fat?&#8221;</p>
<p>My answer to these questions is always the same: eat less and exercise more. That might sound like I&#8217;m trying to be cheeky, as surely people are looking for a more detailed answer than that, but the eat less and exercise more answer is the simplest and best answer I can give to people when they contact me and ask how to lose fat.</p>
<p>The way to lose fat is not a mystery. It&#8217;s actually very simple. Improve your diet, workout regularly, and push yourself very hard when you work out. No halfassing it during your workouts. If you&#8217;re not dripping sweat after your workout, you&#8217;ve had a pretty mediocre workout, and you can do better than that.</p>
<p>Regarding diet, I am working on creating a product with my own simple meal plans that people can use to take the guesswork out of their diet, but until such time that I&#8217;m selling my own meal plans, I will continue to recommend Harley Pasternak&#8217;s fantastic <a title="5-Factor Diet" href="http://www.amazon.com/dp/0345513495/?tag=1545-20">5-Factor Diet</a> book. It is currently the best resource that you can use to improve your diet and start eating healthy nutritious meals that will help you lose weight.</p>
<p>Regarding workouts, check out my <a title="Home Workouts" href="/store/">home workouts</a> for a selection of intense time-efficient home workout routines that you can do with minimal equipment, or no equipment at all. My home workout routines are very high-intensity total-body circuit training workouts that I guarantee are more effective than whatever workouts you&#8217;re currently doing.</p>
<p>To summarize, if you want to lose fat, start by <a title="5-Factor Diet" href="http://www.amazon.com/dp/0345513495/?tag=1545-20">improving your diet</a> because it&#8217;s impossible to lose fat if your diet sucks. It doesn&#8217;t matter how awesome your workouts are, if your eating is bad, the workouts will not help you lose fat. Once you&#8217;ve got your diet on track, then get some <a title="Home Workout Routines" href="/store/">high-intensity total-body workout routines</a> that challenge and motivate you to give your best each and every workout to ensure that you see great fat loss results.</p>
