Why should I pay for personal training and not just join a gym?

Hiring a personal trainer can be more cost effective than just joining a gym and going it on your own. A recent study by Sainsbury’s Bank in England found that gym contracts cost Britons about £200 million (over $425 million CAD) a year in wasted cash. Mode Athletics does not charge any membership or joining fees. You only pay for the time you are actually exercising with one of our trainers, and during that time you will be getting the personal attention of a highly qualified trainer ensuring that you receive maximum results.

How often should I work out with a personal trainer?

Resistance training workouts need to be done at least two times per week for optimal results. When you are first beginning your exericise program, you'll want to be with a trainer most of the time so that you don't do something wrong and end up with an injury. Later, if you want to become more independent and do one workout per week with your personal trainer, and one workout per week on your own, that's fine.

Can I exercise with a friend?

Absolutely! Exercising with your Mode Athletics trainer and a friend is fun and may provide you with a source of additional motivation. Exercise with a friend and pay a reduced rate per session. Contact us for more information.

Do I need to join a gym?

You don't need to join a gym in order to train with a Mode Athletics personal trainer. Our trainers have all of the equipment to provide you with an amazing workout right in your home, or you can register for one of our many outdoor group fitness programs.

What will I be doing in each workout?

Your workouts will involve a combination of resistance training, cardiovascular exercise, and flexibility training. The amount of time spent on each of these aspects will vary depending on your fitness level, your goals, any current limitations, and your time available for exercise.

How long is each session?

Each training session is 60 minutes in length.
